Thailand aim to export rice to Philippine after Typhoon

Philippine the world's top rice buyer, may increase import rice next yeat by 13% from this year. Rice imports for 2010 will increase to 2 million tonnes from this year 1.775 million tonnes most from Vieatnam. Thailand is talks to export to Philippines with 500,000 tonnes of milled rice and target to increase shipments to 10 million tonnes next year from 2009 projected 8.7-9 million tons.
